Spring is just around the corner and most of my Sellers are looking for advice on how to spruce up their home’s just before putting it on the market. And most of them are looking to do that without spending an arm and a leg while getting the most profit out of their sale. Here are 3 easy ways to make great improvements to your curb appeal while on a budget.
1. Wash instead of paint- If you can’t afford to paint the exterior of your home make sure it’s clean. Wash your windows inside and out, scrub screens, gutters, decks and wash siding. Also power wash sidewalks, driveways, and the garage floor.
2. Landscaping- For just a few hundred dollars you can plant bushes, shrubs or a small tree. I like to add colorful flower pots or hanging baskets on the front steps or deck. Sod or fertilize area’s of dead grass and pull weeds from any existing gardens.
3. Update exterior light fixtures- Replace any old or dated light fixtures on the garage or by the entry doors. You can spend a mint on fixtures but you don’t have to! Find something simple and tasteful that will update the look of the home.
Remember curb appeal is the first thing a Buyer will see when they drive up to your home. Make the first impression a good one!
